What is the Innovation Office?
The Innovation Office of the University of Basel is the central contact point for all innovators and entrepreneurs.
We build bridges across three different ecosystems: knowledge, innovation, and business.
We supports a dynamic culture of innovation and entrepreneurship, initiating and managing projects to help students, researchers, and professors develop their ideas.
We support entrepreneurs and startups whilst also creating connections between industry, academia, and society, aiming to translate scientific discoveries into societal impact.
We emphasize human connections and personal skill building, fostering a mindset of giving, self-awareness, and leadership to unlock human potential for pioneering projects.
Our mission is to propel innovators to achieve impact.

The Innovation Office Team
Located at the Innovation Garage, our programs and events take place in this dedicated space.
The Innovation Garage is now open for FREE, for student and researchers of University of Basel to work on their own project ideas, meet like-minded individuals, and receive support from the Innovation Office.
For our early-stage startups, we provide a membership which includes:
- Meet the innovation office team daily and receive expert advice from us and our network
- Use of Innovation Garage's address (Kreuzstrasse 4, 4123 Allschwil) as the business address
- 24/7 access to the Innovation Garage
